What usually stops people — answered

Will anything be in a language I don't read?

No. We work in English, Spanish, German, Dutch, French, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish. The quote, the contract, the warranty and the handover walkthrough are in your language, and so is the person who answers when you write.

Ask us on WhatsApp
Who deals with the trámites and the town hall?

We do. The technical memoria, the ayuntamiento declaration, the electrical certificate, the registration with the distributor and the switch to a self-consumption contract are all inside the turnkey price. You sign; we file.

Ask us on WhatsApp
What if something breaks after you've been paid?

Tier-1 panels and inverters with manufacturer warranties, installed by our own crews rather than subcontractors, plus a workmanship warranty on the installation itself — the exact terms are printed on every kit page and repeated in your quote. Remote monitoring usually shows us a fault before you notice it.

I'm not in Alfaz del Pi all year — is it still worth it?

Yes, and it needs nobody at home. Everything the panels produce while the house is empty goes to the grid and is credited on your bill under compensación de excedentes, and you can watch production in the monitoring app from anywhere. We can also size the system around the months you are actually here.

I live in an apartment — do I need the comunidad to agree?

On a shared roof, yes — and that approval is yours to obtain, not something we can promise on your behalf. Spanish law (LPH art. 17.1) lets a comunidad approve solar with a one-third majority instead of unanimity, and we prepare the technical description and documents you put to the junta. ENERA does the installation itself and files everything with the town hall — the licencia or declaración responsable. If you would like us alongside you at the meeting, or to help submit the request, that is often possible and is sometimes included in the price of the system: write to us and we will agree how to handle it. On your own roof or private terrace you decide alone, and a shared installation can be split between several flats.

Subsidies, IBI and ICIO in Alfaz del Pi

We read Alfaz del Pi's IBI and ICIO ordenanzas fiscales on August 5, 2026: as they stand, neither gives a home solar installation a bonification you could claim. That is a result, not a blank — we would rather say so here than let you find out after signing.

These reductions are optional for every town: Spanish state law allows an ayuntamiento to grant them but does not require it. A neighbouring town having one therefore says nothing about this one — which is why we read each ordinance instead of copying a list.

The state law behind these bonifications (BOE)

Ordenanzas fiscales are re-approved every autumn and take effect on 1 January, so this can change in any budget year. ENERA re-reads Alfaz del Pi's for the year your installation is filed, and if a bonification appears we file it for you.

Why Alfaz del Pi suits solar

Alfaz del Pi's housing stock mixes detached and semi-detached houses in residential urbanisations with lower-rise apartment blocks, most with unshaded roofs and clear southern exposure away from the coastal high-rises further east. At 49.3% foreign-born and with a resident population that skews notably older than most towns ENERA serves on this coast, Alfaz del Pi is a community of largely retired, full-time residents rather than seasonal visitors.

With an average income of about €12,274 per resident, these households typically run heating in winter and cooling through the long Costa Blanca summer every day of the year — exactly the steady, year-round consumption pattern that makes solar pay back fastest. ENERA runs design, installation and town-hall paperwork end to end, in your own language.

What does a solar installation cost in Alfaz del Pi?

A typical Alfaz del Pi home takes a 6–10 kW system, priced between €5,300 and €8,300 fully installed — panels, inverter, mounting, labour, legalisation and VAT all in one fixed, itemised quote. Flat-roofed houses take ballasted aluminium frames tilted to about 36° for peak yield; tiled roofs take corrosion-resistant hooks. Every installation connects through i-DE, the Iberdrola-group distributor for Alicante province, and we manage that paperwork for you.

Solar incentives and tax breaks in Alfaz del Pi

We read Alfaz del Pi's IBI ordinance in full: it does carry a 25% solar clause, but as drafted it only reaches properties whose cadastral record shows health-related ('sanitario') use over more than a quarter of the built surface, and requires the installation to be both thermal and electric together — conditions a normal residential rooftop doesn't meet. So for a typical Alfaz del Pi home, there is no usable IBI discount today, and the current ICIO ordinance grants no bonification beyond what's already set by national law. We'd rather tell you that plainly than quote a benefit you wouldn't actually receive.

What does apply is the regional layer: the Comunitat Valenciana's IRPF income-tax deduction of up to 40% of the installation cost for a habitual residence (around 20% for a second home), claimed on your annual declaración de la renta, up to €8,800 per dwelling per year. ENERA prepares the certificates you need to claim it.

How much can you save on electricity in Alfaz del Pi?

With Spanish grid electricity around €0.19 per kWh and rising, a well-sized system in Alfaz del Pi can cut a household's annual bill by roughly €1,240–1,780. Full-time, year-round occupancy — typical of Alfaz del Pi's largely retired resident base — makes the most of what a system produces; surplus is credited under Spain's compensación de excedentes net-billing scheme. At Alfaz del Pi's irradiation levels, payback on a typical installation is around 3.7–5.2 years.

How your installation works, start to finish

ENERA runs the whole project as a single turnkey service. It starts with a remote design from satellite imagery and a recent electricity bill, sizing the system to your real consumption and sending a fixed, itemised quote. Installation on a typical Alfaz del Pi home takes one to two days on the roof. In parallel we prepare and submit every document: the technical memoria, the electrical certificate (boletín), i-DE registration and the compensación de excedentes agreement, plus the municipal licence with Alfaz del Pi's Ayuntamiento. Solar in Alfaz del Pi: your questions

How much do solar panels cost in Alfaz del Pi?

6–10 kW at €5,300–8,300 is the standard Alfaz del Pi answer, fully installed, legalised and with VAT in. ENERA has delivered 13 systems in Alfaz del Pi, and the band is drawn from that record rather than from a national average: real roofs in this municipality, sized against real bills, from a bungalow at the bottom of the range to a villa at the top.

How much can I save with solar in Alfaz del Pi?

About €1,240–1,780 a year at €0.19 per kWh, with payback at 3.7–5.2 years — one of the fastest bands on this site. Alfaz del Pi deserves that: 49.3% of residents are foreign-born, largely Norwegian and northern European and settled here permanently, average age 46.7, and only 3.88% of the housing is registered tourist accommodation. That is a town of full-time homes, and a full-time home consumes its own production instead of exporting it.

Can foreign or non-resident owners in Alfaz del Pi go solar?

Yes — and Alfaz del Pi is probably the clearest case for it on this coast. 49.3% of residents are foreign-born, the Norwegian community here has its own school and church, and the average resident age is 46.7: people who live in the house year-round. Legally you need a Spanish NIE and proof of ownership, nothing more. ENERA handles the Ayuntamiento and i-DE filings and works throughout in English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish and Russian.

Do I need permission for solar panels in Alfaz del Pi, and are there local rebates?

A standard Alfaz del Pi install goes through as a declaración responsable at the Ayuntamiento, plus registration with i-DE for the grid connection — ENERA files both. We read Alfaz del Pi's IBI ordinance in full: it has a 25% solar clause, but it only applies to properties with a health-use ('sanitario') cadastral classification and a combined thermal-plus-electric installation — conditions an ordinary home doesn't meet — and the current ICIO ordinance offers no bonification beyond national law. So there's no usable municipal discount for a typical residential install today; the Comunitat Valenciana's IRPF deduction (up to 40% for a main residence) still applies.

How much energy will a system produce in Alfaz del Pi?

2,117 kWh/m² a year, about 1,663 kWh per installed kWp at 36°. The 13 systems we have commissioned in Alfaz del Pi span from 2020 to this year, so the modelled figure has been checked against a fair amount of delivered hardware on this particular hillside. The one thing we look for locally is the Sierra Helada's shadow line on the seaward slopes, which we read off the terrain model before quoting.

Do I need a battery for my Alfaz del Pi home?

Rarely necessary in Alfaz del Pi. With an average resident age of 46.7 and near-permanent occupancy, demand here already sits across the daylight hours, so a 6–10 kW array is largely self-consumed and compensación de excedentes takes the rest — that is how the 3.7–5.2-year band is reached. Of the 13 systems we have delivered in this municipality, several are solar hot water rather than PV, which is usually the cheaper way to attack an evening load than storing electricity.
